How It All Came To Be…
At a very young age, Jay had a fascination for auctioneering and the auction industry. At the age of 15, his Mother would drop him off at dairy auctions and He would buy cows for his Father’s farm. At the age of 21, Jay bought his first farm in Clyde NY where He dairyed and crop farmed for around 15 years. In the meantime He auctioneered at a once-a-month dairy auction in Savannah and conducted small equipment auctions and farm dispersals. Through his experience, He learned the ins and outs of the agricultural industry- understanding quality cattle, crops, and machinery and the role they play in running a good operation.
As Jay got busier in the auction industry, He decided to move off the dairy farm to focus his full attention to the auction industry. With a more laser focus, we have been able to expand the business significantly. In 2018, we purchased a 26-acre yard which now stands as our main operation.
Although there has been many expansions and changes over the years, our focus has remained the same. We strive to keep the customer first, and to provide an opportunity for you’ll to buy and sell good quality equipment.
